General T’s & C’s

Welcome to Castleford Yoga

Thank you for choosing Castleford Yoga. Our aim is to provide a friendly, supportive and welcoming environment where everyone can enjoy moving in a way that works for their own body.

These General Terms & Conditions apply to all customers attending classes, workshops, courses and private lessons. Any service-specific terms (such as memberships or private lesson packs) will be provided separately at the point of purchase and form part of your agreement with Castleford Yoga.

Studio Etiquette – Keeping it Yoga

To help maintain a calm and welcoming environment for everyone:

  • Please arrive 5–10 minutes before your class starts.

  • Late entry may not be permitted once a class has begun.

  • Switch mobile phones to silent and avoid using them during class.

  • Keep conversations outside quiet when classes are in progress.

  • Please inform your teacher of any injuries, health concerns or changes to your health before class.

  • Do not attend if you have a contagious illness.

  • Treat fellow students, teachers and the venue with courtesy and respect.

Small Class Philosophy

Castleford Yoga specialises in small group classes and individual teaching. Class sizes are intentionally limited to allow for individual attention, continuity and a welcoming atmosphere. Many of our booking and cancellation policies exist to help us continue offering this style of teaching fairly and consistently.

Before Your First Class

Before attending your first class, you must:

  • Complete and sign all required health screening and waiver forms.

  • Inform us of any relevant medical conditions or injuries.

Please bring your own yoga mat and wear appropriate clothing suitable for movement.

Booking Classes

All customers are responsible for managing their own bookings through the TeamUp booking system and/or TeamUp Members App.

You are responsible for ensuring your contact details are correct and for managing your email notifications within the system.

Specific booking windows, cancellation periods and credit rules vary by membership, class pack or service and are explained in the relevant service terms available at the point of purchase.

Participation and Health

By attending classes, you confirm that:

  • You take part voluntarily.

  • You will work within your own physical limits.

  • You will seek appropriate medical advice if you are unsure whether exercise is suitable for you.

  • Notify us if any information you have provided changes.

Our teachers are not medical professionals and any guidance provided is intended to support your participation in movement activities and is not a substitute for medical advice, diagnosis or treatment.

Where appropriate, teachers may offer hands-on adjustments. You may decline hands-on guidance at any time by informing your teacher.

You remain responsible for deciding whether to participate in any exercise or movement and should stop immediately if you experience pain, dizziness, unusual discomfort or feel unwell.
