How to be Calm in a Busy World – book recommendation

Excellent book for anyone looking to find a better way to navigate their emotions

The Things You Can See Only When You Slow Down: How to be Calm in a Busy World

Click on the book to get it from Amazon as Hardback/ Kindle/  Audio

Read & Listen

Switch between reading the Kindle book & listening to the Audible narration with Whispersync for Voice.
Get the Audible audiobook for the reduced price of £3.47 after you buy the Kindle book.

If you are like me, constantly on the go maybe the audio version is more suitable.

I like to get the kindle version which allows you to get the audio for a fraction of the price, and you can switch between both reading an listening without having to search for where you are in the book.

“When you have an unpleasant feeling, don’t grab hold of it and turn it over and over. Instead, leave it alone so it can flow.”

Dive into how to befriend your emotions rather than suppressing them. Watch them change shape when you allow them to be there. Learn to regard them like a passing clouds, do not fight the negative emotions befriend them…

There are really nice imageries that help explain what we normally do and how we can do it in a more helpful way.

“…if we train our mind and choose wisely where to focus, then we will be able to experience the world corresponding to the state of our mind.”

Our mindfulness practice in the safe place of a Yoga class helps us practice how to focus wisely so that we can transfer those skills into your everyday life.

“When your mind rests, the world also rests.”

So next time when we are in Savasana see if you can truly come to rest just for that fraction of time.

Check out the audio sample by clicking on the book. or go here.

I’d love to hear your thoughts about this book, drop me a line when you checked it out.
